Schedule 40 PVC Conduit electrical pipe is used for electrical wiring in walls, floors, ceilings and underground in accordance with NEC 352. According to NEC 352 it can also be buried directly into the earth, encased in concrete, and used in areas exposed to direct sunlight.
PVC conduit is lightweight, rust- and corrosion-resistant conduit that routes and protects wire and cable in both indoor and outdoor applications. Its fittings are welded on with a solvent for a quick, liquid-tight seal, making this conduit suitable for direct burial in the ground.
