Plastic Machining – Precision Plastics

PLASTIC MACHINING

CNC Machining or Milling

Our skilled fabricators use automated large-bed CNC equipment to produce large, complex or 3-dimensional components that involve multiple production steps or tools. We use state-of-the-art networked CNC milling machines, lathes, and routers to produce quality plastic parts with high precision, repeatability, and efficiency.

Plastic Laser Cutting

As part of our CNC cutting capabilities, Precision Plastics offers advanced CNC-controlled laser cutting and profiling for plastics. A focused laser beam cleanly cuts intricate patterns in various materials including acrylic, polypropylene, polyester, mylar, and industrial laminates. It’s fast, efficient, cost-effective, and provides high-quality finishes.

Plastic CNC Turning

Many plastic fabricators use 3D printing or plastic injection molding to manufacture complex parts, but these processes cannot match the accuracy of CNC-controlled lathes. This cutting-edge equipment can be used with a wide range of plastic materials and provides close tolerances that are crucial for so many industrial applications.

5-Axis Machining

Precision Plastics uses 5-axis CNC machines to fabricate composite parts and components for numerous industries and applications. Unlike hand trimming and drilling, 5-axis machining of parts is more efficient, effective, and accurate. It also cuts down on labor costs and production time, since a single technician can work on a batch of parts at once.

Plastic Drilling

At Precision Plastics, we use a variety of drilling and punching techniques to add micro holes as well as small and large holes. Depending on the plastic material, configuration, and required level of accuracy, our fabricators can use CNC routing, laser drilling, or manual drilling/punching to finish custom plastic parts and components.

Plastic Welding

Different processes can be used to weld plastic materials, depending on the type of plastic as well as the application and where it will be used. Whether you require ‘invisible’ joints, seamless joints or high joint strength, our skilled plastic fabricators and machinists can help you choose the right welding technique for your needs.
